A multi-functional converter based switched reluctance motor drive for electric vehicle

<span>Owing to the resilience and ease of control, switched reluctance motors are commonly utilized in electric vehicle drives. This paper provides a topology for multi-functional power converter motor based drive with driving, braking charging potentialities. With efficient control algorithms, single electronic is used motoring, regenerative braking, battery bank, resulting cost-effective interface. The front-end voltage current (SRM) achieve open loop closed speed during driving mode. Re-generation made possible through restricted switching phases negative torque region. A bridgeless rectifier built mode by combining SRM's two-phase windings prevailing devices an integrated converter, eliminating need additional inductors units. Simulations run MATLAB/Simulink, simulation results validate schemes all modes.</span>
